Connecting young minds to the intelligence of tomorrow.
For students, by students — at DPS Durg.
NexusAI is DPS Durg's first student-led artificial intelligence club, born from a single conviction: that students from Bhilai-Durg are capable of building technology that matters — not just consuming it.
We are not a lecture series. We are a builder's room. Every session ends with something made. Every member leaves with a project, a skill, and a mindset that compounds over time.
In a world where the India AI market is set to grow 5× to $28 billion by 2030, being AI-literate isn't optional — it's the new baseline. NexusAI exists to make sure DPS Durg leads that shift.
"I am not proposing this and walking away. I will be present at every session, personally accountable for every outcome and every member's experience."
— Anushka Soni, Founder & PresidentGive every student — regardless of background or prior knowledge — a real entry point into AI and modern technology. No gatekeeping. No prerequisites.
InclusiveCreate actual working applications, websites, and AI-powered tools that solve real problems in our own Bhilai-Durg community. Not demos. Deployments.
Hands-OnQuarterly AI awareness workshops at local schools across Durg. If even one student in that room feels like technology belongs to them too — we've succeeded.
CommunityNexusAI members design and run 60-minute AI awareness workshops at 2–3 local Durg schools each quarter. The goal: make one student feel like technology belongs to them.
One professional from AI, technology, research, or entrepreneurship shares real career insights, honest failures, and advice no textbook gives.
DPS Durg's first student technology exhibition. Every founding member presents their personal AI project to students, teachers, parents, and industry guests.
5 questions on AI and its impact on India's future. See where you stand before joining.
NexusAI is building something real at DPS Durg. If you're a student, teacher, professional, or fellow innovator — reach out.
From first idea to public impact. Twenty sessions — twelve scheduled, eight launching soon. From a single validated problem, to a real venture, a live website, and a workshop members teach themselves.
Each session builds on the last — framework by framework, sprint by sprint. Sessions 1–12 are scheduled now; sessions 13–20 are launching soon.
From a single validated problem to a full, defensible business model — already in the books.
Ethics, a live build, a real founder, and a competitive showdown.
These are the students who started it all. One founding batch. One movement — built at DPS Durg.

Everything you need to understand why Artificial Intelligence is the most important skill of your generation — explained clearly, built for students.
The World Economic Forum projects 97 million new roles for people who work with AI — while 85 million routine jobs are displaced. The gap is filled by those who learn now.
India's AI market is growing from $6 billion (2023) to $28 billion by 2030 — a nearly 5× jump. The students learning AI today will lead those industries tomorrow.
McKinsey Global Institute estimates 50 million Indian jobs face automation risk by 2030, primarily in data processing and manufacturing. AI literacy is the key defence.
India's National Education Policy 2020 has mandated AI literacy at school level. Student clubs like NexusAI are the grassroots implementation of this national directive.
NITI Aayog has established 10,000+ Atal Tinkering Labs specifically to equip Indian school students with skills in AI, robotics, and innovation. Durg is part of this story.
According to Accenture, AI has the potential to add $957 billion — nearly $1 trillion — to India's economy by 2035. Students who understand AI today are positioned to be the architects of that growth, not bystanders to it.
Artificial Intelligence is the science of building systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence — like recognising speech, making decisions, translating languages, or identifying objects in photos.
Designed for one specific task. Examples: facial recognition, spam filters, recommendation engines, chess-playing programs. This is all AI that exists today.
Hypothetical AI that can do anything a human can — learn any task, reason across domains, adapt freely. Does not yet exist. The subject of ongoing global research.
Theoretical AI surpassing human intelligence in every domain. A distant concept being actively studied by safety researchers around the world, including at Anthropic and OpenAI.
AI isn't magic. It follows a clear pipeline — from raw data to intelligent decisions. Here's how a model goes from nothing to being able to recognise a cat:
AI learns from examples. Want to build a spam detector? Feed it thousands of spam and non-spam emails. The more diverse and labelled the data, the smarter the model becomes.
Raw data is messy. This step removes duplicates, fills gaps, standardises formats, and selects the features (columns) most relevant to what you're trying to predict.
A model is a mathematical function that maps inputs to outputs. Different problems need different models — a decision tree for simple classification, a neural network for images.
Show the model labelled examples repeatedly. It adjusts its internal parameters (weights) each time it makes a wrong prediction — gradually improving through a process called backpropagation.
Split your data: 80% for training, 20% for testing. The model has never seen the test data — this gives an honest measure of how well it generalises to real-world inputs.
Push the model to production. Monitor it for bias, accuracy drift, and edge cases. The best AI systems are never truly finished — they evolve with new data continuously.
The model learns from labelled data — inputs paired with correct outputs. Examples: email spam detection, house price prediction, medical diagnosis from X-rays.
Most CommonNo labels. The model finds hidden structure in unlabelled data. Examples: customer segmentation, anomaly detection, topic modelling in large text corpora.
Pattern FindingThe model learns by trial and error — taking actions, receiving rewards or penalties. How AlphaGo beat the world champion. How robotic arms learn to grasp objects.
Learn by DoingAI operates across four broad sensory domains — each with its own techniques, datasets, and applications. NexusAI sessions cover all four.
AI that sees. Facial recognition, autonomous vehicles, medical imaging, satellite analysis, object detection in real time.
AI that understands text and speech. Chatbots, translation, sentiment analysis, text summarisation, voice assistants.
AI that finds patterns. Financial forecasting, recommendation systems, fraud detection, supply chain optimisation.
AI that moves. Industrial automation, surgical robots, drone navigation, self-driving vehicles, smart manufacturing.
Building AI without ethics is like giving someone a car without teaching them to drive. The most important part of AI education isn't the code — it's knowing when to stop.
AI inherits bias from its training data. A facial recognition system trained mostly on light-skinned faces performs worse on darker skin — with serious consequences in policing and hiring.
AI enables mass surveillance at scale. Deepfake technology, data harvesting, and predictive policing all raise urgent questions about consent, civil liberties, and state power.
Every AI model you build carries ethical weight. At NexusAI, we learn not just how to code — but how to ask: should we build this? Who does it help? Who might it harm?
"The question is not whether AI will change the world. It already has. The question is whether students like you will be the ones shaping it — or shaped by it."
